  • Sander or Sand Paper
  • Stain
  • Cotton Cloth
Step 1

With a pencil, lightly draw a line to separate the leaves from the pineapple.

Step2

Paint the edges and then the top of the pineapple. Paint with the pineapple facing toward you. Allow to dry.

Paint the leaves

Paint the edges and then the top of the leaves. Allow to dry completely for several hours before moving on.

Step6

Sand the edges and the pineapple surface. Make sure to sand the parts unevenly. Then remove all dust from the pineapple surface.

Stain

With the pineapple facing away, stain the edges (left side, right side, top and bottom). Then lay the pineapple flat and stain the top. Use a cotton cloth to wipe desired amount of stain from the edges and top. Allow it to dry completely.

Please note: If you want to put the pineapple on your front door completely exposed to the weather its best to coat with an outdoor sealer.
