Mod Podge Turkey Monogram

Supplies

• Unfinished Wood Co. 17″ Turkey Monogram
• FolkArt Acrylic Paint – Butter Pecan, English Mustard, Warm White
• Brushes: 1″ flat, #8 flat
• Mod Podge
• Hot glue gun
• Assorted scrapbook paper
• Burlap rosette

TIP: Choose different paint colors to complement your scrapbook papers.

1. Basecoat body with Butter Pecan.

2. Paint beak and feet English Mustard.

3. Paint initial Warm White.

4. Cut a wattle and feathers of varying sizes from scrapbook paper. Vary the placement to avoid repeating patterns. (You may want to make a template from scrap paper for easier sizing and placement.) Be sure to allow some feathers to overlap for a more realistic look.

5. Use Mod Podge to adhere feathers to tail.

6. If necessary, use a craft knife to trim feather ends around the body.

7. Attach rosette with hot glue.
